Gawain and the Green Knight Linocut Print

This is a 100% canon scene from one of the most famous Arthurian texts. Gawain makes a wager with the knight who is hosting him (Bertilak) that they would each exchange their day’s winnings when Bertilak returned home from his hunt. Gawain earns kisses from Bertilak’s wife and in turn gives them to Bertilak with all the same enthusiasm they were given, as per the terms of the agreement. As if nothing could make this any better, we learn at the end of the tale that Bertilak, who is the Green Knight in disguise, encouraged his wife to give Gawain the kisses. (The wager was his idea too.)

This 9"x12" print depicts Gawain and Bertilak sharing a passionate kiss.
